Il Giardino di Fontarronco Guest Farm is owned by the Illuminati's, a family from Val di Chiana -Arezzo (Tuscany), where they run their own market garden. 
 The Illuminati family will welcome you on arrival and will accompany you throughout your holiday with hospitality and discretion, showing you the cultural and natural itineraries that can be travelled over, putting every effort into making your "days in Tuscany" memorable. 
 The origins of our farmhouse are lost in time even though we are led to believe that the guesthouse was originally built at the beginning of the 13th Century. In fact, on restoring the old cellars of the Leopold structure, architectural finds, proving the existence of a landing port, were brought to light.

This 18 th century Villa owned by the Illuminati family, has been meticulously restored and furnished with style and elegance using antique furniture. 
There are ten apartments available of various configurations designed for a relaxing and invigorating holiday in the heart of green Tuscan hills, or peraphs to use a base to discover the numerous and magnificent cultural and artistic sights nearby. Florence and Siena are only 30 minutes drive away and Arezzo with its famous antique fair is only 10 minutes by car. 
This corner of paradise called the Foresteria is surrounded by fruit groves and vegetable farms, which give one the true feeling of peace and tranquillity, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This fall and winter, the Foresteria il Giardino di Fontarronco will open its doors on a Bed and Breakfast basis, living up to its reputation as an intimate and sophisticated spot for holiday retreats. 
 For the first time ever, the Main Villa of the Foresteria, with its 5 rooms (2 of which are suites), will accommodate those looking for a truly authentic and unique Tuscan get-away. Each of the rooms comes fully equipped with its own bathroom (with shower or bathtub), minifridge, TV with Satellite, and telephone. 
 Each morning, breakfast will be served in the centrally located dining room, which is just steps away from the bedrooms. The room is tastefully decorated with traditional Tuscan furnishings and a large fireplace that will be burning all day long. There's no better place imaginable to return to after a long day of exploring the nearby wineries and hill towns!

WINE CELLAR For all people who enjoy fine wine, we couldn't miss the chance to restore the old wine cellar where the Bianchini's family used to store their wine during the winter. 
The cellar now hosts the best Tuscan wines - Chianti, Brunello and the Super Tuscans. Not forgetting our own superb extra virgin olive oil. We also organise group wine tastings by arrangement. 
SWIMMING POOL During their stay at Il Giardino di Fontarronco, our guests can enjoy their own swimming pool framed by a unique natural landscape. The large swimming pool (16 x 8) features 5 Jacuzzi massage corners. Surrounded by orchards and shrouded in the colours and aromas typical of Valdichiana, the Guesthouse offers relaxation and unforgettable emotions.

Dinner is an event not to be missed. We provide our guests an exclusive restaurant. 
 During the cooler season, dinner is served in the comfort of the old stables restored respecting Tuscan traditions.In summer, dinner is served on the patio where you can enjoy the warm evenings and fantastic views of our orchards and the Tuscan hills beyond. 
 Our guests have the opportunity to experience the delights of typical Tuscan cuisine, accompanied by some excellent Tuscan wines. A perfect end to the day.

The price of our apartments are per week (Saturday to Saturday), and it is diferent depends of the apartment and the season. 
The price of the standard double room is 100 euro per night, and the suite costs 120 euro per night. 
Breakfast is included.

The Foresteria is located in the Val di Chiana section of Tuscany, just 8 kilometers from Arezzo, 45 from Siena, and 60 from Florence, the landscape around the agriturismo is sprinkled with virtually undiscovered Tuscan villages, such as Civitella and Lucignano. 
 Hill-top medieval towns like Cortona and Monte San Savino offer the chance to step into the past, while gelaterie and high-fashion stores serve as reminders of the present day. Tradition manifests in numerous festivals, markets, parades and concerts throughout the spring, summer and fall months.

where we are

From the A1 motorway:
we advise you to take the Monte San Savino exit. After a toll , - turn left toward Monte San Savino, and continue going straight for about 300 m . - After a hill, you will see blue signs for Arezzo.- Take this highway and go straight on for 10 kms. - Exit at Pieve al Toppo. 
At the bottom of the exit, -turn right toward Foiana della Chiana. -After 3 kms you will see a yellow sign on the left side of the road which says "AZIENDA AGRICOLA ILLUMINATI".- Turn left here, and go straight on for 400 meters down the apple-tree lined driveway. -On your right side you will see few antique yellow buildings.
