.Bicycle rentals and local guided tours are available upon request.
Environs: here, in the land where Leonardo found his first inspirations in Arts and Sciences, you can travel along the same paths that still today remain rich with history and nature You can observe your surroundings through the eyes of young Leonardo, with the same curiosity for every sublime detail of the landscape and vegetation, for the rocks of marine origin that form the terrain, and for the archeological and historical tokens that embellish the land.

structures

the ancient rural villa has 5 independent apartments, all scrupulously restructured in the best Tuscan architectural tradition the outside terrace and vanishing-edge pool reserve breathtaking views of the Montalbano valley.
Guests can enjoy an ample outdoor space freshly covered with light colored canvas that offers a barbecue and wooden tables, and an equipped play area for the children.

rooms

Il Caminetto This is 45 m2 apartment, located on the ground floor of the main house: it is composed of entrance with sofa bed and cooking corner, double room with bathroom.
While entering the apartment, the old, big chimney will surely make you an astonishing impression, still perfectly preserved and well functioning.
Even when not working, the typical heat of past times comes out: the smokeblackened ceiling wood is the proof it has been working through years. Materials of the cook top have been carefully chosen for matching with the chimney style: in the next bedroom, the grandmother's old, sweet mirror classic style contrasts with the fitted cupboard modern style.

Il Forno This is a two level apartment, of 55 m2, sleeping up to 4 people (2+2). On the ground floor we can find the entrance-living room with a cooking corner and a two place sofa bed, while the bedrooms with the bathroom are situated on the first floor. Entering the apartment, you are in a big room which used to be the stable lots of time ago, still preserving the brick old vaults ceiling and the high window.
The old oven used to be placed in the niche at the end of the room, where now there is the cooking corner; in fact, around the present cook top, you may still see the old little bricks where bread was usually cooked thanks to the cumulated heat.
By going up a little stair, still preserving its original steps and being overlooked by the original ceiling as well, you will find the bathroom and the bedroom, with a striking walkin closet which has been placed where the old storeroom used to be, and overlooked by the original ceiling.

Il Granaio This 60 m2 apartment is situated on the upper floor of the main house. Passing through the big dining room, equipped with a modern cooking corner and a double sofa bed, we access to the bedroom and the bathroom. All the rooms have wooden beam ceiling; from the windows overlooking the olive trees valley you may admire a striking view.
The dining room replaces the old barn of the main house, while the fireplace cowl, passing through the room, is a lively element for the room design; in the past, this was the only way to heat the bedroom also.

La Rondine This 50 m2 apartment is situated on the upper floor of the main house. It is composed of an entrance corridor, a very bright bathroom and two separate rooms: a living room with double sofa bed and cooking corner, and a big bedroom.
This apartment has replaced an old barn and its name comes from swallows which used to nest where the kitchen now is. From the windows overlooking the olive trees valley you may admire a striking sight.
