It is possible to spend an unforgettable holiday at the Relais Poggio Borgoni country resort.
You can relax, wonder and dream. Participate in our activities or simply do nothing, enjoying the enchantment from the terrace from dawn to dusk and have a swim in the large panoramic pool with a whirlpool surrounded by a garden of roses and lavander.
The charming location on the outskirts of Florence, in the Florentine Chianti area, unites the many possibilities of food and wine tours and the easy access to the artistic treasures of Tuscany. Siena, San Gimignano, Lucca and Pisa are only an hour away by car. Florence is also reachable by public transportation.
The lively nearby town of San Casciano in Val di Pesa contains many works of art and historical buildings and also nice shops within its medieval walls. The Medici Palace, the Museum of the Sacred Arts and the nearby Machiavelli�s home deserve a visit.
The Etruscan tomb called �dell�Arciere� (the Archer) and Badia a Passignano testifies to the antique history of the territory of San Casciano.

The Relais Poggio Borgoni is located about 300 meters above sea level and has a dominant position in the valley of the River Pesa. The outdoor areas consist of a large covered parking, and a beautiful garden place on multiple levels characterized by a beautiful lawn and a great variety of plants and flowers. the wonderful swimming pool overtops the Pesa valley.

The antique furniture and care of every detail characterize the atmosphere that we want to convey to our customers.

Our swimming pool with a large Jacuzzi and open by the first day of May until September forwarded, is immersed in a scene of rare beauty surrounded by the Chianti hills. Facing thePesa valley you can enjoy the green of the olive trees and the Tuscan vineyards, relaxing between sweet colors and sounds of nature. Our staff will be available at your disposal for cocktails and appetizers directly to the pool.Measures: 9x18 meters Depth: from 180 cm to 240 cm

BREAKFAST
In the morning taste the delicious buffet breakfast ... Our cook prepares typical desserts including the �Torta della Nonna� and jam tarts with the will and local specialties such as ham, cheese and honey as well as soft croissants and fresh fruit, fruit juices, cereals, muesli and yogurt.
In summer, breakfast is served in the terrace from where you can admire a wonderful panorama. while in winter you will be welcomed by the warmth of a fireplace in the lounge of our Osteria.
 The Osteria del Poggio, situated in an ancient mill, is furnished with original pieces that evoke the spirit of the old inns.
In winter is heated by a fireplace sparkling draw while in the summer you can dine on the covered terrace which offers a fantastic view of the hills of the Pesa valley.
OSTERIA
The few tables, the atmosphere and the attentive service predispose at best the pleasures of the kitchen. In selecting the dishes our Chef follows the traditional Tuscan recipes but also his personal sensitivity in order to bring to the table the true scents and flavors of each season.
All the ingredients, from fresh vegetables to choices meat and to olive oil are strictly of local production. In the cellar, in addition to wine POGGIO BORGONI, keep some of the most valuable wines of Chianti and Tuscany.

Exit from the A1 motorway at Florence-Certosa. Take the Superstrada towards Siena and exit at San Casciano V.P. Take the Via Cassia (SR2) towards San Casciano and after you have passed the town 2 kms on the left you will see the Relais Poggio Borgoni entrance.
From the Amerigo Vespucci Airport in Florence � 28 kms:Exit from the airport taking the motorway towards Rome, at the Firenze Nord junction, take the A1 motorway towards Rome, and exit the A1 motorway at Florence-Certosa. Take the Superstrada towards Siena and exit at San Casciano V.P. Take the Via Cassia (SR2) towards San Casciano and after you have passed the town, 2 kms on the left you will see the Relais Poggio Borgoni entrance.
From the Galileo Galilei Airport in Pisa � 74 kms:
Exit from the airport taking the S.G.C. Fi-Pi-Li motorway for 60 kms and exit at GinestraFiorentina, Turn RIGHT ON SP12 towards Cerbaia and follow the directions to San Casciano. Once in San Casciano follow the directions for Siena on the Via Cassia. After you have passed the town, 2 kms on the left you will see the Relais Poggio Borgoni entrance.
