Situated 30 minutes from La Spezia, the national park of the Cinque Terre (Il Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre) and the hamlets Mulazzo, Bagnone, Fivizzano, Pontremoli and villafranca in Lunigiana to name but a few, it is a ideal location for an wonderful relaxing vacation. The Agriturismo Saud�n is a small family run bed & breakfast, including the possibility to join the table d'h�te (evening meal) with the family. These meals included the various and delicious traditional foods and wines of the region prepared by the family.

Where to find us The Agriturismo is located in the Lunigiana region of Tuscany near Pozzo di Mulazzo at an altitude of approximately 500m. Surrounded by vineyards and forests of chestnut trees it is an ideal place to pass a relaxing holiday.

During your stay you can choose to use the swimming pool, find a quite corner to read the latest bestseller or in just 30 minutes be in the beautiful national park of the Cinque Terre. Just 1km from the gite is the horse riding center of Busatica, there are possibilities of fishing, trekking and mountain bike trails. In the autumn months of September and October mushroom hunting becomes a popular pastime.

Further information about trails and several routes can be found at Pontremoli BikeEighteen kilometers of sheer rocky coastline, terraced hills and vineyards sloping steeply down to the sea. Five little villages are built into the rocks between the beach and the hills. You can hike, swim, drink red wine, and watch blazing Mediterranean sunsets away from the tourist throngs in the Italian cities and the French Riviera. Centuries old footpaths and mule tracks wind about 150m to 300m above the sea, leading through olive groves and vineyards, orchards and chestnut woods. Each village has its own character; they are a few minutes apart by train and can be also access by boat.The woods of the Lunigiana region characterize the whole landscape of the northern Tuscany with their wonderful colours. This area is famous for its mushrooms, game and chestnuts - which all combines into the excellent local cuisine.The fishing preserve of the Magra river is the ideal environment to go fly-fishing. The river Magra is located in an area regulated by specific rules, which include a "no-kill" zone covering over 10 kilometers of the river and a "fishing" zone, where fish can be caught.

For guests who wish to have an evening meal, Gigliola offers typical lunigianese home cooking with traditional dishes and recipes, just for you, using local produce e.g. game, mushrooms, vegetables, fruits (for home-made cakes) and not forgetting the wine from our own vineyards; all this in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Also guests can participate in a kitchen course to learn how to make some of the local jams and cakes, all made with the local farm grown products.

where we are

From the Autostrade A15 (La Spezia to Parma), exit at Pontremoli. After the toll booth turn left on to the main road (SP31), following the signs for Mulazzo approximately 4km. Just after entering Arpiola, take right turn and following the signs to Pozzo and then to Madonna del Monte. There are signs on the way indicating the Agriturismo.
