Torre del Guado is a large Tuscan farmhouse, situated in the countryside between the medieval towns of Anghiari and Sansepolcro and close to the city of Arezzo.
Subject of a meticulous restoration project, the 13th century villa has been transformed into an  elegant country residence in Tuscany, where you  find a pleasing combination of traditional Tuscan architecture and the very latest in contemporary technology. Wireless internet connectivity is available throughout the property. Guests accommodation is provided in five apartments, with welcoming open fireplace, fully equipped kitchenette and, above all, splendid views of tuscan  countryside. The large, 20.000 sqm, beautifully maintained equipped garden, which surrounds the residence, features a panoramic swimming pool,  gazebos, a barbecue area, and a number of small paths and private angles. The villa�s accommodations consist of  2  suggestive reception rooms  and  5 refined self-catering  vacation-accommodations ( from 2+ to 4+ guests), of different sizes and typology, with  excellent facilities. The whole holiday house inside a very large beautifully maintained equipped gardens (20.000 mq) with the  panoramic  15X7 swimming pool.

All  apartments are tastefully and stylishly decorated thanks to a carefully selected colour scheme of warm, pastel shades  and enjoy plenty of natural light along with panoramic views of the tuscan  landscape. Each self catering accommodation has its independent  entry on the ground floor from the garden, own fireplace, a fully-equipped kitchen-corner (4 plates, gas, refrigerator, ice compartment, electric oven, toaster..), 1 bathroom, with shower, bidet, sink, WC, and all the benefits of modern technology ( Satellite TV, individual  washing machine and heating ). All linens, including swimming pool towels and tables cloths,  fans and windows mosquito-nets are provided. Wireless connection,  Highchairs for babies, iron and hair dryer free on demand. Baby-cot (extra �  7 per/day).  The sofa/divan, present in liv-room can be other bed ( charge extra). Each apartment has private outdoor dining area with sunshade and garden forniture.

  Gelso: 78 square metres, 3 rooms, on two levels and decorated in soft pastel apricot shades, lovely ambience, spacious and well equipped. Living room with 1 Sleeper Sofa-Queen, fireplace,  dining table for 6. The upper floor consists of  2 bedrooms ( 1 queen sized and 1 smaller twin ) with a  wardrobe space, and a well appointed bathroom with shower. It has its own private outdoor dining area with sunshade. Sleeps 4 +2: 4 are the  guests accommodated in the beds. Other 2 guests can be  accommodated on the double sofabed ( extra charge)
 
Glicine: 65 square metres, 2 rooms - comfortable one bedroom apartment, on two levels, decorated in warm mauve tones, with private outdoor patio on the ground level. Open plan living/dining with  1 single sofabed, fully equipped kitchen, dining table for 4, plus fireplace. The queen sized bedroom  with a wardrobe space, and the well appointed bathroom with shower are located on the upper level.  Sleeps: 2+1. 2 are the  guests accommodated in beds. Other 1 guest can be  accommodated on the single sofabed ( extra charge)
 
Ginestra: 75 square metres , 2 rooms -  this 2 level apartment  is  cheerfully decorated in yellow shades. Open plan living/dining with 1 double sofabed, fully equipped kitchen, dining table for 4,  plus fireplace. The upper level features  1 queen sized bedroom,  with a  wardrobe space and the well appointed bathroom with shower. Private outdoor patio with sunshade. This spacious one bedroom apartment may easily accommodate 2.
Other 2 guests can be  accommodated on the double sofabed ( � 10  per/day extra charge for each guest)

Guado: 90 square metres, 3 rooms, � on two levels,  this apartment is stylishly decorated in indigo shades  and enjoys picturesque country views . Very Spacious open plan living/dining with 1  Sleeper Sofa-Queen, fully equipped kitchen, dining table for 6, plus fireplace, satellite TV and wireless Internet on request.
The upper level consists of  2 bedrooms: 1 queen sized bedroom  with  very ample wardrobe space and  1 twin  [convertible into a double] with  very ample wardrobe. A well appointed bathroom with shower is also located on the upper floor. Sleeps 4+2:  4 are the  guests accommodated in beds. Other 2 guests can be  accommodated on the double sofabed ( extra charge)

Iris: 90 square metres, 2 very large rooms � this 1 level splendid apartment  enjoys of great privacy  becouse it is located on the first floor in the most historical wing of the Villa, with its own private entrance. It is a popular choice for couples on their honeymoon but it is perfect also for small family groups.  A very spacious  living/dining room with 1 queen Sofa-bed plus 1 single sofa/bed, fully equipped kitchen and dining table for 6. On the same floor 1 one queen sized bedroom and an appointed bathroom with shower.  Sleeps 2/5. 2 are the guests accommodated in beds;   3 guests can be accommodate on the sofa-beds ( charge extra)

This area has a great culinary tradition: everywhere you can enjoy the wonderful dishes of Tuscan cuisine, accompanied by the fine wines. There are a number of music festivals in the region, including Umbria Jazz in Perugia and Tuscan Sun Festival of Cortona in July. The sport and nature lovers may take excursions on foot, on horseback or on mountain bike and wander through woods and vineyards, ruins of old churches, castles and lovely old farm buildings. Golf Club, tennis-courts and horse-riding are at short driving distance. Lakes Trasimeno and Montedoglio provide  water-sports, trips to islands & a small beach.
For art  lovers, in this area  there are Signorelli, Perugino, Pinturicchio  frescos   in addition to the 'Piero della Francesca trail' around Arezzo, Sansepolcro & Monterchi.

Torre del Guado  is placed at the same distance (3 kms) from the medieval towns of Anghiari and Sansepolcro  situated in Upper Tiber Valley, and 37 kms from Arezzo, not far from  Cortona and  Siena, on the edge of the Chianti wine region and of Umbria. The villa�s convenient location will allow you to easily reach the main art cities including Assisi and Urbino, Perugia and Pisa, Trasimeno Lake, Florence, Rome, ..). They are all a day-trip away and  easily  accessible through the near E45 speedway, at only 4 kms from the villa, and A1 highway 32 kms far.
 
How to reach us
 
Airports: Torre del Guado can be reached by airplane, by train, by car. The airports in Rome, Florence, Perugia, Bologna, Arezzo, Forl� are easy driving distance .
Fly direct to Perugia (our nearest airport : 45 minutes drive) via Ryanair, or to  Bologna-Forli  ( about 100 kms), or to Florence Peretola ( 85 kms) , or to Ancona (2 hours' drive), or to Bologna, Pisa or Rome, Pisa Galileo Galilei 80 km.
 
By Car:
from Milan-Bologna: A14 Highway to Cesena: exit Cesena nord, Follow E45 Superhighway  to Rome-Perugia- exit Sansepolcro sud.
from Rome-Orte: E45 Superhighway Perugia-Cesena: exit Sansepolcro sud.
from Florence: A1 Highway - exit Arezzo with direction SANSEPOLCRO.
From the exit at Sansepolcro sud, follow the road to AREZZO; after approx. 2kms turn left, signposted GRICIGNANO.
